Finally time I updated this profile thing.

What's up, my name is Inter, I'm an 18-year-old college student, electronica producer, and DJ from beautiful Berkeley, California. I spin everything from soothing downtempo to hard-hitting electro, and I'm slowly working on an artist album. Very slowly.

And you might see me around here doing a little bit of RPing on the side.

WOULD I LIE ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THIS?

(removed the broken BBCode... dumb sheezyart not working again...)

So yeah. Local music collective elecTONIC's throwing their second big party of the semester, I'm DJing the lounge again.

I absolutely love doing lounge sets. Love love love love doing them. Not only are they much less stressful to do (the music helps), but they're also relatively easy. Instead of beat-matching the entire time, I'm creating a mood and watching it evolve. Last time I switched between tech-house and funk for most of the night; this time I'm planning a much more ambient/IDM set, probably throwing some minimal and progressive in.

Of course, the recent Zero 7 and Late Night Alumni albums are really going to help, as well as the two compilation albums I work into nearly every set (of any genre), Sasha's Emfire Collection and Trentemoller's The Trentemoller Chronicles. Plus a bunch of stuff Josh Gabriel-related (or Gabriel & Dresden related) will definitely weasel its way into the mix.

Should be fun.

In other news, I'm just finishing up another mashup, Kaskade & Deadmau5 versus Wolfgang Gartner. I'm a bit hesitant to post it up, since it's a much simpler one than usual and it's in DJ-ready form (meaning very long drum intros/outros).

Oh, and I've got a Political Science term paper due in a couple weeks that I've barely started. Whoop-de-do.
